Constance (Dembowski) Viale

Constance (Dembowski) Viale, age 80, of Glenshaw, passed away peacefully with her family by her side, reunited with her son, on Thursday, December 7, 2023. Loving mother of Martin (Donna) Viale, Melissa (Timothy) Balzer, Michael (Gina) Viale, Matthew Viale, and the late Stephen Michael Viale; Proud grandmother of Adam Viale, Jessica (Dakota) Patrick, Michael Caldone, Mazie Caldone, Tristin Viale, Stephen Viale, Madaline Viale, Emma Viale, and Larissa; Cherished great-grandmother of Leo, Jozie Rose, and Ivy; beloved daughter of the late Helen (Daniels) Dembowski-Drabicki, Leo Dembowski, and Walter Drabicki; dear sister of Christine (Edward Ostry) Drabicki and the late Elizabeth Szwedko. Constance graduated from Etna High School and received her associate degree from Point Park University. Before raising her five children on her own, she worked as a secretary for Westinghouse. Constance was a true caregiver, doting on her family and enjoying spending as much time with them as she could. She always put everyone else’s needs before her own and never showed up empty handed. When she wasn’t spending time with her family and friends, she loved dancing to the oldies, especially Elvis, and watching I Love Lucy. Constance was a strong-willed single mother and spent her life fighting for her kids. Even more, she was a truly selfless and giving person, donating anything she could even when she didn’t have it. Friends will be received on Sunday, December 17, from 2 to 9 PM at the Bock Funeral Home, Ltd., 1500 Mt. Royal Blvd., Glenshaw, where a prayer service will be held at 8 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of her late son, Stephen, to the Special Olympics.
