Elsa Jones (Delledonne), 94 years young, of Shaler, on December 6, 2024. Wife of the late James Jones; Elsa grew up one of four children (Esther, Ida, and Angelo) of Angelo and Carmella Delledonne in the Bloomfield neighborhood of Pittsburgh. She graduated from Schenley High School. She married Frederick D’Amico and had three children. After his death, she married James Jones of Etna, having two more children. She was a woman from another era. Her effort, time, body and soul were focused on one thing…her family. She was an excellent cook and loved to garden. She was a generous entertainer, hosting Christmas each year with delicious food and in the summers, she had the pool ready, and the barbecue fired up. All were welcome and many neighbors and relatives have fond memories of her gatherings. She cared about people and she was always ready to help take care. After raising her own five children she helped take care of aging relatives, nieces and nephews and, of course, her beloved grandchildren. In her early days she worked as a bookkeeper. Later, she ran the Brown Jug restaurant for over twenty years, alongside her husband, Jim. Her beer batter fish is legendary. She is survived by five children (Mark, Michele, Matthew, Vincent, and Barbara), ten grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2 to 7 PM at Bock Funeral Home, Ltd., 1500 Mt. Royal Blvd., Glenshaw. Funeral services on Monday, at 10 AM in St. Matthews Parish, St. Bonaventure Church, Glenshaw.
