Frances V. (Commendatore) Mosesso

Frances V. Mosesso (Commendatore) Age 96, of Shaler Twp., formerly of the North Side, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 19, 2023. She was the beloved wife of the late Victor R. Mosesso, loving mother and best friend of her angel, Laura A. Mosesso. Affectionately known as ‘Aunt Fran’ to many, she was loved by all. Frances is preceded in death by her parents, Salvatore and Agatha Commendatore and siblings, Fred (Jessie) Commendatore, Jennie (Albert) Cue, Mary (James) Costanzo, and Christine (Joseph) Guarnaccio. Daughter-in-law of the late Carmen and Margaret Mosesso; also, preceded in death by her late brothers-in-law, John (Florence) Mosesso, James (Helen) Mosesso, Herman (Mary) Mosesso, Albert (Leonore) Mosesso, Joseph (Dina) Mosesso, and sisters-in-law, Marie Mosesso, Aurelia (Kenneth) Wilson and Virginia Mosesso. She is also survived by her numerous and very devoted nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and dear friends. Her family meant the world to her, and she was the last of her generation in our large, loving Italian family. Frances was a devout Catholic with great devotion to the Blessed Mother and the Sacred Heart of Jesus. She was a long-time volunteer with the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust. Frances was an employee of Bell Telephone, Louis Reifer Jewelry, and Jimmy’s Post Tavern. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at Harbour Senior Living/Juniper Village at South Hills. Friends will be received on Sunday from 1 to 7 PM at the Bock Funeral Home, Ltd., 1500 Mt. Royal Blvd., Glenshaw. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday at 10 AM in St. Matthew Parish, All Saints Church, Etna. In lieu of flowers, in honor of Aunt Fran, make time for a special Sunday dinner with your family and those you love.
