James P. Stein

James P. Stein, age 84, born July 27,1939 from Shaler Township, passed away on December 20, 2023. Jim is survived by his two brothers, Raymond G. Stein Jr. (Joanne), John B. Stein (Lois). He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Mary Loesch (Ron), Ray Stein (Michelle), Kelly Aunkst (Brian) and Jack Stein, along with grandnieces and a grandnephew. He is preceded in death by his parents Anne Murray Stein and Raymond George Stein Sr. Jim attended All Saints School in Etna, North Catholic High School and later graduated as a Chemical Engineer from Carnegie Institute of Technology. Later earned Masters in Business Administration from Pitt University. Jim had numerous hobbies including racing cars, swimming, tinkering with computers, and participating in the Boy Scouts where he became an Eagle Scout while also being a troop leader for the Boy Scouts. Upon graduation of college, Jim went on to work at Gulf Research as a Chemical Engineer and later worked for Spang and Company as a Systems Analyst and later as the manager of the refractory division, In his retirement, Jim was the owner of Eat Your Heart Out restaurant in Shaler Township and in later years operated Stein’s Apiary as a bee-keeper. No visitation will be held.  A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 AM Friday January 12th All Saints Church, St. Matthew Parish in Etna. Arr. by Bock Funeral Home, Ltd. Glenshaw.
