Juliette Damianos Homoki, of Erie and Pittsburgh, PA, passed away peacefully on December 15th, 2024, joining her beloved husband Gene and sons Glenn and Brian, as well as her parents Melanie and Tsambikos “Jim” Damianos. Born in McKeesport, Pennsylvania, Juliette moved with her parents to West Mifflin in 1948. She was a graduate of McKeesport High School, where she shined as the head majorette. In 1951 she married Gene Homoki, and together they raised a family in West Mifflin. Juliette was an active member of their church and served as den mother for the Cub Scout troop. In the years that followed, Juliette and Gene relocated to Erie where Gene worked as the general manager of the new Kaufmann’s department store. Over the next four decades, they made their home in Erie, Fairview, and Girard. In her youth, Juliette was a dancer and dance instructor and she carried that vibrance throughout her life. She later became a floral designer and decorator, showcasing her creative spirit. Juliette was very active in the Erie community, serving for 15 years on the Erie Theater board and for 7 years on the board of the International Institute. She also volunteered at the hospital and was a member of her church and the Chardonnay Village community. Juliette is survived by her son Gregory Homoki and his wife Karen; daughter-in-law Lisa Homoki; five grandchildren, Adam (Phoebe) Homoki, Melanie (Dave) Greenberg, Molly (John) Ross, Nicole Homoki, and Frank Homoki; three great-grandchildren, Eleanor, Hugo, and Cullen; her brother Sylvester (Lu) Damianos; and her brother-in-law Frank (Marilyn) Homoki; nieces and nephews. Services held privately by the family. Donations may be made to the Erie Playhouse or Saint Jude’s would be welcomed. Arrangements made by the Bock Funeral Ghome, Ltd., Glenshaw.
