Michael P. Schaltenbrand

Michael P. Schaltenbrand, Age 74, of Shaler Twp., formerly of Morningside, passed away with his loved ones at his side on Saturday, December 16, 2023. Michael was a loving husband of 51 years to Mary Ellen (McHale) Schaltenbrand and was blessed with three sons, Michael L., Brad T., and the late James ‘Jamie” Schaltenbrand. He was the cherished brother of Patricia “Patty” (Joe) Henry and brother-in-law of Patrick (Linda) McHale. He will be missed by numerous loving cousins and friends. He was the son of the late Rosemary (Mahon) and Leo T. Schaltenbrand. Dear grandson of the late Elizabeth and Jimmy Judd. He was a 1968 graduate of Peabody High School and attended CCAC. Michael was a beloved family man. He was an accomplished draftsman working for U.S. Steel, American Bridge, Kentec, and Michael Baker Corp. Michael loved to design decks and work with wood. He was an avid gardener and spent many hours working outside. He is loved and will be missed by all who were blessed to know him. Friends will be received on Tuesday from 2:00 to 7:30 PM at the Bock Funeral Home, Ltd., 1500 Mt. Royal Blvd., Glenshaw. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10 AM in St. Matthews Parish, Holy Spirit Church, Millvale.
