Scott Kakavis

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Scott Kakavis on Thursday, September 12, 2024. Age 56, born on April 14, 1968 in Glenshaw, PA. Scott will be deeply missed by his parents Nick and Betty Kakavis, his sister Susan (Michael) Powers, his nieces Alyssa and Julia Powers, his fiancé Candyce Rose, his good friend Tony Verzelli, his Godparents Pat and Jack Collage, and his Aunt Pat Scott and Cousins: Gillian, Courtney (Michael) and Devon (Derek). He was preceded in death by his uncle Harry Scott. Scott attended Shaler Area High School, where he enjoyed playing hockey and spending time with his high school friends. Scott had a passion for learning. He held Undergraduate Degrees from the University of Pittsburgh in Applied Mathematics and Industrial Engineering. He also received his Master’s Degree in Management Information Systems from Carnegie Mellon. Scott worked as a Global IT Manager at PPG for 19 years and Allyn International for 7 years. Scott moved from Pittsburgh to Cape Coral, Florida in 2017 to enjoy the sun and beaches. He loved all animals, especially his Bullmastiffs. Scott also had a passion for skiing and pinball machines. He was on the Board of Directors for the Pinball Asylum of South West Florida. Services and interment will be held privately. Memorial donations in his memory may be directed to Pinball Asylum or to a charity of your choice.
