Virginia Mae Petcoff

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Virginia Mae Petcoff of Pittsburgh, PA on Wednesday July 12, 2023 at the age of 95.  She was born December 23, 1927, in Toledo, Ohio, to the late Ray and Beulah Cook.  She attended Waite High School in Toledo and was an active member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Yondota Chapter (OH).  Virginia worked as a dental assistant until she had her first child, and later in life as an administrative secretary for 2 nursing homes. Virginia was preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert Irving Petcoff; sister, Lottie (the late Harold) Baker; and her brother, Charles (the late Florence) Cook.  She also has two nieces, Judy Baker and Phyllis Beck (deceased), 2 nephews Chuck Cook and Bill Baker (deceased), and several great nieces and nephews. She is survived by her daughter, Patti; and two sons, John (Nancy), and Gregg. She leaves behind 4 grandchildren: Matthew (Amy) Petcoff, Christine (TJ) Carlson, Bryan (Maggie) Petcoff, and Vincent (Britta) Latz as well as 5 great-grandchildren - Preston, Britton, Graham, Erin, and Alex. She will be remembered as a loving, kind, and generous mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend.

There will be no visitation or funeral service. Instead, the family will gather for a private celebration of her life.
